Rapper Tyler, the Creator has spoken about his sexuality in a brand new interview.

The year-old rapper made headlines over a song from his album Flower Boy in which he revealed he had been “kissing white boys” for more than a decade. Tyler, The Creator then apologizes to the men and women who he lied to about his sexuality. Many people believe he came out as gay on his LP Flower Boy. It is publicly known (and Tyler’s quite proud about it) that he is gay.

He came out a long time ago and even expressed his view and experience about his sexuality in many of his songs. One of them is from the song I Ain’t Got Time. The lyric goes: “I’ve been kissing white boys since ”. On his brilliant album Flower Boy, Tyler, The Creator revealed that he has been “kissing white boys” for more than a decade. The rapper made headlines with the revelation but hasn’t spoken publicly about his sexuality, despite the lyrics causing much talk.

Rapper Tyler, the Creator, leaves many of his fans in awe with his talent, incredible collaborations, and how he alludes to his queerness without explicitly stating it. He touches on his sexuality quite a bit in the lyrics on his October album, “ Chromakopia.”. Tyler, The Creator has known Frank Ocean longer than most. Impressed by what he saw, Frank called Tyler to compliment him, which became the starting point of their friendship.

Soon after, Frank became a member of Odd Future. During an interview with Rolling Stone , Tyler was asked whether he knew Frank was gay before he came out to the public. In classic Tyler fashion, he joked about the situation by claiming he knew about his sexuality from one of his breakfast preferences. However, he was adamant that using the word had no bad intentions behind it.

When asked if he thought Frank was bothered by the language, he stood by his stance. And it could take the power out of that word. Frank came out through an open letter posted to his Tumblr account in , less than a week before releasing his debut album, Channel Orange. At the time, rumours were heavily circulating about his sexuality. In the message, the singer opened up about falling in love with a man for the first time in his late teens, which he described as a life-changing experience.
