This year’s theme, “50 Shades of Pride,” honors five decades of resilience, advocacy and celebration within Baltimore’s LGBTQ+ community. The Pride Center of Maryland is hosting a series of events from June to celebrate the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex and asexual (LGBTQIA+) communities and other sexual and gender minorities. What started out as a small peaceful protest in Mt. Vernon in has evolved into what we know today as Baltimore Pride, a monthlong celebration of events, fundraisers, and festivals supporting our local LGBTQ+ community.
